1st Meeting of Bone Biology Forum in 2004

First Meeting
The first meeting of Bone Biology Forum was held on 22 - 23/October, 2004 in Fuji Institute for Education and Training. Professors Gerard Karsenty, Leigh Darryl Quarles and Donald McDonnel were invited.
Professor Karsenty talked about genetic control of bone metabolism. Professor Darryl Quarles gave his lecture titled "Phex, MEPE and FGF23: Evidence for a Bone-Kidney Axis Regulating Phosphate Homeostasis."
Professor Donald McDonnel talked about nuclear receptor co-factor interactions. It was the first meeting and the lectures by Japanese speakers were given in Japanese, but the invited speakers joined discussion.
